Bottelary Hills Scottish Braai: 27 August
On 27 August join Stellenbosch wine route of Bottelary Hills and celebrated Chef George Jardine for a special pop up lunch! This fire-side lunch at Kaapzicht Wine Estate will feature a special Scottish Braai as Scottish-born Chef Jardine (of Restaurant Jardine in Stellenbosch) whips up a delicious meal for guests, pairing it with unique Bottelary Hills wines.
This exciting Scottish Braai is the second event in this eagerly anticipated series of Bottelary Hills Winemakers Pop Up Lunches. Guests will be seated around an open fire as Chef Jardine fans the flames and showcases his culinary magic, using locally-sourced ingredients. Not only are guests treated to delicious meal and exquisite showcase of culinary talent, you’ll also be able to meet and get to know the personalities of wine experts responsible for the unique region’s wines.
“The Bottelary Hills Winemakers Pop Up Lunches have become an eagerly anticipated foodie event that showcases the essence of the Bottelary Hills wine region: family heritage, award-winning wine and authentic hospitality.” Other farms, in addition to Kaapzicht, participating in this year’s events are Mooiplaas, Hazendal, Hartenberg, and Bellevue. The series is set to close on November 19 at Mooiplaas Wine Estate and Private Nature Reserve.
